
EVM malfunction in Bankura assembly, TMC leader alleges, Mamata would have got votes from here
- Voting for the second phase of elections in West Bengal is going on in full swing today. Today, votes are being cast for a total of 30 seats in the four districts of the state.
- These include South Nandigram, 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, and Bankura Assembly seats. There have been reports of violence once again in many places.
- On the other hand, the TMC has lodged complaints with the Election Commission regarding malfunctions in EVMs.
- TMC candidate from Bankura Assembly seat, Sayantika Banerjee, has said that EVMs are defective at 2 polling booths in her constituency. She has visited these polling booths and reviewed EVM machines.
- The TMC leader has alleged that this is being done intentionally so that TMC voters can return without casting their votes.
