  • Rajasthan has today completed its 72 years of Independence. The state govt and its citizens are celebrating the Rajasthan Diwas.
  • Though the state is independent for several years but, it still lacks in many aspects like unemployment, crimes, and many more.
  • According to a survey conducted by CMIE, Rajasthan's unemployment rate increased from 5.9 percent, rising to 17.7 % in April 2020.
  • Over a longer time, unemployment has moved from 1.6% in Sep 2017 to its current rate.
  • In terms of rape or attempt to rape cases, 2019 NCRB data puts Rajasthan at the top. There was a rapid hike of 49.11 % in crimes against women.
