The Rashtriya Lok Samata Party has today merged with the Janata Dal-United. RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha said that from now on they are standing with JDU under Nitish's leadership.
In a press conference held in Patna, Upendra Kushwaha said that it has been decided to merge the party in the National Council meeting today.
With this, he further added that like-minded people should come together in Bihar in the interest of the country and the state. This is the need of the current political situation.
Apart from this, he described Nitish as his elder brother, saying that this merger will benefit Bihar and is not a political bargain.
He said, "Nitish Kumar will decide my role in JDU. The people of Bihar were ordered and will follow the same order. Will work together for education."
