70-year-old actor Mithun Chakraborty joined BJP today ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election rally in Kolkata.
There was speculation that he would join this rally and take the membership of BJP. The rally is being held at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.
Mithun Chakraborty was inducted into the BJP before the PM's arrival. He joined BJP in the presence of state BJP president Dilip Ghosh, party in-charge of the state Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Earlier on Saturday, Kailash Vijayvargiya shared information on Twitter that he visited Mithun Chakraborty's house to meet him.
Letting you know, West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections for 294 seats are scheduled to be held between 27 March to 29 April 2021 in 8 phases.
