UP: College girl found 72 % burnt near National Highway, claims, 'they failed to rape me'

BA second-year student of Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur was found without clothes and severely burnt lying on the national highway.
According to the police, the victim alleged that she was set up on fire after the men failed to gang-rape her.
SP S Anand said that the woman was tried to be raped in a field near Rai Kheda and when she refused, the men poured kerosene on her.
The girl is 72 % burnt and is undergoing surgeries. Police have been investigating the matter.
The residents of the village, where she was found lying, had covered her with a stole before calling the police.
