Fuel price hike: Congress legislators hold protest, ride bicycles to the state assembly
The fuel price, which has seen a massive hike this month, has been continuously opposed by the opposition.
In order to protest against the rising fuel prices, Congress legislators in Odisha today rode bicycles to the state assembly.
The legislators who rode the bicycles from Congress Bhawan to the state assembly were Jeypore MLA Tara Bahinipati, Khariar MLA Adhiraj Panigrahi, and a few more.
Tara Bahinipati demanded that the Naveen Patnaik should cut taxes on petrol and diesel, as Chhattisgarh and Bengal have done.
Currently, in Odisha, the petrol price is the highest in Kalimela of Malkangiri, that is, Rs 97.45 per litre. In Bhubaneswar, it is Rs 91.64 per litre.
