Toolkit Case: Delhi Police speechless as Patiala House Court grants bail to Disha Ravi

  • Climate Activist, Disha Ravi, who was arrested in the Toolkit case, has been granted bail by the Patiala House Court.
  • The court had put two conditions in front of her, that is, to furnish two sureties of Rs 1 Lakh each.
  • Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana passed the verdict in Disha Ravi's bail plea. During the hearing, Disha said, "If supporting farmers is anti-nationalism, then I would prefer to be in jail."
  • The hearing lasted for 3 hours in which the Court questioned the Delhi Police about the link between the 'toolkit' and January 26 violence.
  • The judge asked for the evidence collected by the Delhi police against Ravi, adding "or are required to merely work on surmises, conjectures?"
