Madhya Pradesh Congress protests against fuel price hike, MLAs ride bicycles till Assembly complex
The rising fuel prices in India have been a major concern for the past few days. The opposition has also been protesting against the same.
As the state Assembly Budget has begun today, the Congress Legislators reached the MP Assembly complex in Bhopal on bicycles.
This step by the Congress legislators was a mark of protest against the rising fuel prices.
The legislators who rode the bicycle were Congress MLAs PC Sharma, Jitu Patwari, Kunal Choudhary, Shashank Bhargava, and Arif Masood.
MLA from Bhopal South-West said that during the UPA regime at the Centre, the crude oil prices in the international market almost doubled, but the petrol and diesel prices were lower at that time.
