Glacier bursts in Uttarakhand, power project damaged, heavy flooding, many missing

Uttarakhand's Chamoli has recorded a major tragedy today after a glacier broke out in Dhauli Ganga valley in the Joshimath area.
Several workers, who were working Rishi Ganga hydroelectric power project, were missing from sight after the incident.
ITBP and SDRF teams have already reached the affected areas to rescue the villagers and locals.
As soon as the glacier broke, the rivers in the region witnessed flash floods.
A massive flood was witnessed in Dhauliganga near Reni village, where many river bankside houses were flooded.
