Speculations Turn Into Truth, Balasaheb Thorat Resigns From MPCC President

  • Balasaheb Thorat, the big cap leader of Congress in Maharashtra who holds many key posts in the party's state wing, has resigned from the MPCC president post.
  • Thorat became state Congress Cheif when Congress had won only one seat in the state in the Lok Sabha election under the leadership of Ashok Chavan.
  • Although, state Congress had demanded a full-time president as Balasaheb had the post of state chief, cabinet minister and CLP leader.
  • The names, that are considered to be in the race of the state President post is Vishwajeet Kadam, Rajiv Satav, Amit Deshmukh, Yashomati Thakur.
  • Balasaheb visited Delhi today to meet the party high command and some made speculations that he will submit his resignation centre Congress.
