Speculations Turn Into Truth, Balasaheb Thorat Resigns From MPCC President
Balasaheb Thorat, the big cap leader of Congress in Maharashtra who holds many key posts in the party's state wing, has resigned from the MPCC president post.
Thorat became state Congress Cheif when Congress had won only one seat in the state in the Lok Sabha election under the leadership of Ashok Chavan.
Although, state Congress had demanded a full-time president as Balasaheb had the post of state chief, cabinet minister and CLP leader.
The names, that are considered to be in the race of the state President post is Vishwajeet Kadam, Rajiv Satav, Amit Deshmukh, Yashomati Thakur.
Balasaheb visited Delhi today to meet the party high command and some made speculations that he will submit his resignation centre Congress.
