Bihar Elections 2020: EC expands expenditure limit in Bihar election

Election Commission hikes the expenditure limit in assembly and Lok Sabha Bypoll in Bihar.
EC has made this decision after candidates facing problems in the campaigning as restrictions have been made amid COVID-19.
EC has increased the expenditure limit by 10% amid COVID-19 and this will vary from state to state.
The expenditure limit has been expanded from Rs 70 lakhs to 77 lakhs for Lok Sabha polls while for assembly its is 30.8 lakhs which was 28 lakhs before.
EC official stated that this limit has been hiked for a reason, but the reason will not be mention in the notification.
