Bihar Elections: Panel to Use PPE Kits And Thermal Scanners

The ECI has decided to conduct Bihar elections with certain protocols such as using PPE kits, thermal scanning and social distancing.
The state government is also creating an additional 34,000 polling stations and the total number of polling stations stands at 1,06,000.
The Election Commission has already put a limit to the number of electors to 1,000 for each polling station in the unprecedented situation.
Toothpicks and gloves will be used by voters while operating Electronic Voting Machines.
The postal ballot facility will not be extended to electors above 65 years of age in Bihar Assembly poll.
