J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina tests positive, administration starts massive contact tracing

  • Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina, who had visited slain colleague Waseem Bari’s residence along with several other leaders in Kashmir’s Bandipora, tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
  • Raina took to Twitter to announce that he tested positive for Covid-19.
  • He was accompanied by Union minister and Udhampur MP Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna and general secretary Ram Madhav who have gone into self-quarantine with immediate effect.
  • As per sources, he has been hospitalised in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital in Kakryal, Reasi district.
  • Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir administration starts massive contact-tracing exercise to trace those who have met UT BJP president.
