Jamaatis Are the Main Reason For the Spike In COVID 19 Cases: Vijay Rupani

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani blamed the international travellers and those who said that those who attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi for an increase in the number of cases in the state.
He said, "When the people who attended the Jamaat entered Gujarat, the COVID 19 infection spread like a forest fire. The data is proof of the same."
Rupani said that because the Jamaatis did not cooperate with the administration, legal actions have to be taken against them.
He said that the Tablighi Jamaat issue is being used to target the Muslim community.
He said, “Our prime aim since the day Covid-19 entered Gujarat is to ensure the welfare of the community at large, irrespective of the caste, community, etc."
