Karnataka CM appreciates corona warriors for their efforts to control COVID-19 spread
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday expressed his gratitude to the corona warriors for their efforts in controlling the spread of deadly virus.
Praising their efforts he further said that Bengaluru has set an example on how to effectively manage the pandemic & gradually restart the economy.
The Centre on Sunday identified 4 cities as role models for handling Covid-19 pandemic.
While lauding Jaipur and Indore metropolitan areas for innovative ways of tackling a high caseload, the Government also lauded Chennai and Bengaluru as examples of large cities which have succeeded in keeping the mortality rates low so far.
It should be noted that both Bengaluru and Chennai managed to contain the mortality rate to just about a per cent, which is much lower than the national average of about three per cent.
