In the COVID 19 Crises, Hand Holding Attitude Is the Need Of Hour: Dhankar To Mamata Didi

  • West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar has written a four-page letter to state CM Mamata Banerjee. 
  • In the letter, the Governor has written a detailed reply to the conversation between the CM and himself over the state's handling of the novel coronavirus.
  • Governor Jagdeep Dhankar wrote, "Reports of disposal of COVID 19 dead bodies from several areas with heartless indescribable insensitivity is unconscionably shocking."
  • "The crisis has intensified and a hand-holding attitude is the need of the hour", he wrote.
  • He further added, "People are traumatized at this callous stance. We would never be able to come out of the sordid saga and shame of 'Dhapa'! It will haunt us for long."
