BS Yediyurappa gets PM’s word

Days after the BJP’s resounding victory in the state bypolls, Narendra Modi on Saturday called BS Yediyurappa to congratulate him.
Modi also assured the CM of releasing the pending Goods and Services Tax Council (GST) compensation.
While the Central Government has come under fire from some states that have claimed they will not implement the amendment to the citizenship law.
The Congress has accused the State Govt of not making a strong case to get the GST compensation of around Rs 5,600 crore, which is due from the Centre.
Whereas The PM assured to release Karnataka’s share of compensation.
