Full central share of Rs 171.10 Cr released for Nagaland Med College

  • Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey informed that the central govt has released the full central share of Rs 171.10 Crores towards the establishment of a medical college at Naga Hospital, Kohima in Nagaland. 
     
  • The Union Minister replied to questions raised by the Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, Tokheho Yepthomi during the ongoing winter session of Parliament on 22nd Nov.
     
  • Tokheho Yepthomi also questioned about the current status of the said college and the time by which it is likely to become functional.
     
  • The Union Minister informed that the Nagaland State Government has reported the progress of 16.50% on work towards the establishment of the college in the Ministry’s dashboard. 
     
  • The total cost of the project is Rs.189 Crores, to be shared between the Centre and State Government in the ratio of 90:10, he added.
