‘Govt betrayed people on Mhadei issue’

South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha accused the Union government and state governments of Karnataka and Goa of betraying the people of Goa on the Mhadei issue.
While the BJP is ruling at the Centre, the governments in Goa and Karnataka are also of the BJP.
How could the environment ministry give approval for environment clearance to Karnataka? how is it that the chief minister Pramod Sawant is pleading ignorance? he said.
He questioned that why In the name of drinking water, they are continuing with irrigation.
Demanding transparency in the matters over Mhadei, he demanded that the state government make public the contents of the appeal it had filed against the Mhadei water tribunal before the Supreme Court.
