Govt to file case against MPT

  • Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that the state government will file a case against MPT.
     
  • Sawant told that 15-20 days back the tanker-ship carrying naphtha has arrived at the MPT.
     
  • “However, MPT has not informed the state government about the tanker-ship. Thus, now we have decided to file a case against it,” he added.
     
  • Sawant said, “After it was observed that a tanker-ship anchored in MPT inner anchorage drifts, I held meeting with the Captain of Ports, Director General of Shipping.
     
  • The Chief Minister said that it is the duty of the MPT to find out details about the tanker-ship and inform the government.
