On pressure from high command, Siddaramaiah cancels his China trip

On High Command pressure, Siddharamaiah cancels his China trip
On Thursday, former CM of Karnataka Siddharamaiah cancelled his trip to China after apparently being nudged by the party high command.
Congress top brass wants him to focus on the flood situation in the state and to handle political issues arising from troubleshooter DK Shivakumar’s arrest and detention.

Siddaramaiah was to depart for China on Thursday, along with former speaker KR Ramesh Kumar, MLA Srinivas Gowda and MLC Nazeer Ahmad, on a 10-day trip to study agricultural issues.

On this matter Ramesh Kumar states that their tour was planned earlier but as their colleague Shivakumar needs support and as flood situation is still serious they decided to drop their plan.
However, there is another story according to which Siddaramaiah was reportedly miffed with former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on hijacking ongoing protests over Shivakumar’s arrest so he decided to go ahead with the China trip as he wanted to avoid any interaction with him.
