Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sought Monday the Union Government’s support to eradicate Left Wing Extremism (LWE) completely from the state by developing better infrastructure in the Naxal-hit areas.
While talking to media after attending a meeting called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah here, Naveen Patnaik said he has raised three points in the meeting.
Naveen Patnaik said he has urged the Union government to provide railway connectivity in LWE affected Malkangiri and Nabrangpur districts. He informed that the state government will provide land for the project free of cost and also bear half the expenses of setting up the tracks.
