The relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was marked by deep love, affection and respect towards each other, said Sugata Bose, grand nephew of Bose, who is Gardener Professor of Oceanic History and Affairs, Harvard University. 
He dispelled the myth that the two great leaders, had a severe difference of opinion, following which SC Bose had parted ways after the beginning of World War -2.

He also dispelled the conspiracy stories about the demise of the grand uncle and reiterated that Subhash had died in the plane crash. He termed the theories that Subhash was held captive in Russia and lived as a ‘Baba’ as an insult to this great son of India.
