Vinod is Vice-Chairman of State Planning Commission

 B Vinod Kumar, the former TRS Lok Sabha member from Karimnagar, was on Friday appointed the Vice-Chairman of Telangana State Planning Commission.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who also holds the position of the commission’s Chairman, signed the appointment letter on Friday, according to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office.
Vinod’s tenure will be for three years. “He brings with him a vast knowledge of socio-economic issues and geographical aspects of the State,” the Chief Minister said.
Vinod is expected to play a key role in the commission with the Chief Minister also handing him over the responsibility of reviewing all issues pertaining to different departments and preparing proposals in view of the government planning to introduce the full budget for 2019-20 soon.
With the position also being of a Cabinet rank, Vinod will be a permanent invitee to all Cabinet meetings.
