Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday visited the temple of Athi Varadaraja Swamy in Kanchipuram along with family and offered prayers.
Athi Varadar is taken out of the pond once in 40 years and the devotees can have his darshan in standing position for about 45 days. In the standing position, Athi Varadar resembles Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala. This time the darshan of Athi Varadar ends on August 15.
