BJP’s horse trading dangerous to democracy, says Yechury

Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Sitaram Yechury has said the Bharatiya Janata Party is capable of resorting to the worst type of horse trading which is dangerous to Indian democracy.
Referring to the developing political crisis in Karnataka and Goa following the defection of Congress MLAs to the BJP, Mr. Yechury told reporters here on Thursday that it was expected after the general election that the BJP would target the States being ruled by non-BJP governments and topple them.
He said that this kind of acts that undermined democracy and use of methods of horse trading could not be allowed. Mr. Yechury was here to inaugurate a function at Payyannur here to mark the third anniversary of the death of C.V. Dhanraj allegedly murdered by BJP-RSS workers. The BJP was exploiting the situation emerging out of the internal problems in the Congress, he said.
