Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Tuesday assured the Bicholim taluka panchayat sarpanchas and members that the state government is keen on restarting mining activity in the state. During a meeting with the sarpanchas from the taluka, the Chief Minister said that mining activities will start from October wherein disposal of mining dumps will be taken up. He said that the legal process and other aspects with regard to the mining issue will also be taken forward simultaneously and on priority basis.
