BJP will form Bengal govt in six months through democratic means

Key BJP leader Mukul Roy today said the party would form a government in West Bengal in six months from now through “democratic means”.
“There is speculation we may go for imposition of President’s Rule to overthrow the government. This is out of the question. We abide by democratic principles. The Trinamul-government will collapse with a majority of its MLAs joining the BJP. At the moment 140 Trinamul MLAs are in touch with us,” he said.
Yesterday, Trinamul MLA Wilson Champramary, South Dinajpur zilla parishad president Lipika Roy and the other members switched to the BJP. Mr Champramary is the fifth Trinamul MLA to have joined the BJP “so far”. Mr Roy said yesterday’s exodus from the Trinamul was an “extension of the first of the seven phases which will continue till the Mamata Banerjee-government falls. “When the seven phases are complete, there will be no Trinamul government in the state,” he asserted.
