CM holds back a recommendation to dismiss Raju Narayanaswamy

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sent back the recommendation to terminate the service of senior IAS officer in Kerala Raju Narayana Swamy.  The CM sent back the file seeking more details to the high-level committee comprising state and central officials and headed by Kerala chief secretary Tom Jose. The move by the chief minister shows that though the high-level committee had given the recommendation to terminate the service of Raju Narayanaswamy, the state government does not intend to dismiss him.

Otherwise, the CM would have forwarded the file to the Centre. Raju Narayanaswamy had moved the Administrative Tribunal against his suspension from the post of chairman of the Coconut Development Board. Narayanaswamy has been without a post after the suspension. Reacting to the move Narayanaswamy alleged that the central and state governments were trying to terminate his service now because of his fight against graft.
