BJP’s R K Ranjan, NPF’s Lorho win Manipur Lok Sabha seats

Dr. R K Ranjan of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its coalition partner Naga People’s Front (NPF)’s candidate Dr. Lorho S Pfoze won the two Lok Sabha seats of Manipur.
The certificates of elections were handed over to the winning candidates by respective returning officers N Praveen and Rosita Haobam late Thursday night.

In the Inner Manipur parliamentary seat, Dr. Ranjan secured 2,61,802 votes which are 16,830 votes more than his rival Congress candidate O Nabakishore who secured 2,44972 votes, according to reports.
The Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate Dr. M Nara got 1,33093 votes and placed in the third position.
However, so far no official data has been issued to media till the filing of the report except the unsigned ones.
