Tripura: SC defers CPI(M)’s plea to hear petition against ECI’s repolling decision in 168 PS

The Supreme Court though has directed that this case can be heard on a regular basis after the summer break.
Speaking to the TNT- The Northeast Today, West Tripura Lok Sabha Candidate of CPI (M) Sankar Prasad Dutta said ” The SC has decided that our plea cannot be heard on an urgent basis as the SC is going for Summer vacation leave and they have many important cases lined up. Moreover we cannot let go the re-polling which will be conducted next Sunday. So, we will contest the elections”.
