Priya Dutt to take on Poonam Mahajan in blockbuster contest

Mumbai North Central is one of the 17 parliamentary constituencies in Maharashtra that goes to polls in the fourth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections on April 29. The constituency is headed for a blockbuster battle between BJP's current sitting MP Poonam Mahajan and former MP Priya Dutt of the Congress. Dutt will have a point to prove against Poonam Mahajan after losing out to her by a big margin of votes in the 2014 general elections.
According to the Election Commission, there are 1,681,985 electorates in the constituency out of which 743,036 are females and 938,949 are males. It is one of the six parliamentary seats that represent the Mumbai City and it comprises of six Vidhan Sabha segments.
