The investigation team of the police is accountable to judiciary and not to government, said former CBI Joint Director and Jana Sena Party nominee for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat V.V. Lakshminarayana.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, he said police should be allowed to investigate to solve the mystery behind the murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.
Once the investigation is over, police will submit the details of the investigation to court for further proceedings.
“But unfortunately, the political parties are trying to politicise the issue for electoral gains,” he said.
Appreciating Pawan Kalyan for calling him ‘Kotwal’, he said, “In Visakhapatnam land is being grabbed by land mafia and if elected to power would do the job of ‘kotwal’ by taking action against these land sharks.”
