Nagas should move to the future: Jamir

Former governor and chief minister, Dr. S.C. Jamir lamented that Nagas, including public leaders, were only obsessed with the past instead of being concerned with their future destiny.
He said this while speaking at the 6th annual general session of Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) at Lotha Hoho Ki, near DC office junction, here on Tuesday.
Dr. Jamir regretted that though Naga history was uniquely constructed by “our forefathers”, yet it was high time the Nagas became determined to create a new history of progress, prosperity, harmony and harmony.
Referring to the CNTC gathering with representatives from Ao, Lotha and Sumi community, Dr. Jamir asked CNTC, if it regarded themselves as advanced tribes, whether the constituent tribes were in sync with changes currently sweeping the world in socio-political sphere as keeping abreast with all these lead to emergence of new scientific ideas.
