DMK president M.K. Stalin on Sunday accused the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre of trying to grab power in Puducherry through “backdoor tactics” and by using Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi as a pawn to achieve the goal.
Speaking to reporters after calling on Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy, his Cabinet colleagues and MLAs holding an indefinite dharna in front of the Raj Nivas, he said, “If the BJP has the courage to face the elections in Puducherry, it should do that instead of trying to grab power through backdoor tactics.”
