Kerala floods: Was proper warning given before opening Banasura dam shutters

Water levels have gone down but rains continue to lash Panamaram in Kerala's Wayanad district. An otherwise serene locality now bears the scar of a natural disaster. Due to heavy rains, the paddy fields are filled with water.
Many have lost their homes due to floods, others have lost everything inside their homes. On Wednesday, at 5 am, as a woman entered her kitchen, she noticed the water levels rising constantly. She pulled her kids out of the house and left for her mother's house.
