BJP will try its best to woo Shiv Sena

Despite the Shiv Sena reiterating that it has decided to contest all future elections on its own, BJP state unit president Raosaheb Danve said that BJP would try its best to stitch an alliance with Sena.
After BJP national president Amit Shah met Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday night, Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday said that the Sena had passed a resolution in its executive meeting that it would contest all the future elections on its own.
Raut made it clear that the resolution undertaken at the party executive meeting can not be altered by the leader of any other party.
But speaking to DNA, Danve said that the division of votes would benefit the Congress. That is the reason "we would try to bring all like-minded parties together including the Shiv Sena," Danve said.
Opposition Leader in the State Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said the Sena and BJP coming together will not affect them.
"People are against the incumbent government, as reflected by the Gondhiya-Bhandra Lok Sabha bypoll. The BJP squandered a huge amount of money in addition to that spent by the government machinery, still they lost badly. We are sure to repeat the victory of Gondhiya-Bhandra," Vikhe Patil said.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said that Thackeray or Shah should tell the people what transpired between them. "Thackeray has always complained they are not given any 'value' at the Centre or the state. Now, both the leaders have met. We want to know exactly what happened," Malik said.
