क्या हैं राज ठाकरे? गुंडा,नेता या आतंक का दूसरा नाम? | Political Naari
Raj Thackeray is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. A viral video from Mumbai’s Mira Road shows MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) workers beating a shopkeeper—his fault? He spoke in Hindi instead of Marathi. In response, Raj Thackeray shamelessly said, “If you must hit someone, don’t record the video.” This isn’t a one-off. It's part of a long, dangerous legacy of hate-filled, divisive politics that Raj Thackeray inherited from Bal Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena. Just like Bal Thackeray targeted South Indians and Muslims in the 80s and 90s, Raj has attacked North Indians—calling them infiltrators, rapists, and job snatchers. In 2008, MNS workers launched a violent campaign against North Indian migrants, beating students, taxi drivers, and even chopping off a vendor’s hands in one horrifying incident. The video commentary uncovers how Raj Thackeray’s political journey is built more on fear and identity politics than governance. His party, which once won 13 seats in 2009, has now faded into irrelevance. With no concrete agenda, Raj keeps switching sides—praising Modi in 2014, attacking him in 2019, and supporting him again in 2024. When there’s no real issue, he returns to his old playbook: linguistic chauvinism and violence.
