The Delhi Nurses Union of Safdarjang Hospital will kickstart its protest today. It stated that nursing comes under essential service.
The staff said that preparations are being made to recruit nurses through outsourcing for the treatment of patients during Corona in Safdarjung Hospital, which is wrong.
It was told by Delhi Nurses Union and AIGNF that on one hand, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is talking about reducing the budget, while on the other hand the contractor is being brought in the middle.
The union said that if the ministry is talking about paying full salary, then why are nurses not being recruited regularly.
Both organizations said that in 2015 and 16 also, efforts were made to recruit nursing staff from outsourced at Safdarjung Hospital, however, it was canceled after protests by the nurses.
