Andhra Pradesh- Hospital staff hands over a wrong body to the family, dead returns home after 2 weeks

A 70-year-old woman died of coronavirus in a hospital in Vijayawada. On 15th May, the woman's husband buried the body of the wife packed in polythene.
About two weeks later, the family and the villagers were stunned when the woman returned home safely. This shocking case is of Christianpet village under the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
She was admitted to the Govt Hospital in Vijayawada on May 12 after being diagnosed with corona. Her husband Muthiyala Gaddaya was constantly going to the hospital.
On May 15, his wife was not found in the Covid ward. The nurses told him that he might have died. The body of another elderly woman wrapped in polythene was handed over to him from the hospital morgue.
He was sad and disappointed that no one came to pick him up after recovering from Corona. He told that the hospital gave him 3000 rupees to return home.
