Manipur: 2 journalists arrested under NSA for making remarks against cow dung & cow urine

  • The Manipur Police has arrested two journalists under NSA for making sarcastic remarks.
  • It is alleged that the two journalists had allegedly posted on social media after the death of BJP state president S Tikendra Singh from Corona.
  • The two posted that Corona could not be treated with cow dung and cow urine.
  • The police then registered a case under the NSA against journalist Kishorechandra Wangkhem and activist Erendro Lichombaum.
  • Now both will have to remain in jail for 6 months. At the same time, the lawyer of the journalists says that he will file a petition against the case in the High Court.
