3 BJP MLAs arrested in Siliguri for violating Covid 19 norms, TMC leader targets

  • Three BJP MLAs were today taken into custody by police in Siliguri, West Bengal. The three legislators have been accused of violating the lockdown rules.
  • In North Bengal, BJP MLAs Shankar Ghosh, Anandamay Burman, and Shikha Chattopadhyay were protesting against the state govt over the rising Corona infection and deaths from it.
  • They were first explained, but they were not ready to accept them, after which the police took the three MLAs into custody. However, after a while, all three MLAs were released.
  • However, the legislators said that they were following all the Covid protocols. On the BJP's performance, senior TMC leader Gautam accused the MLAs of betrayal of the people of the area.
  • Gautam said that during the pandemic, these MLAs are demonstrating instead of helping the people of their area, their real face should be seen by the people.
