West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee to meet Governor Jagdeep Dhankar at 7 pm for govt formation
After TMC's landslide victory in West Bengal Assembly elections, party chief Mamata Banerjee will meet Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at 7 pm today to stake a claim for govt formation.
The ruling TMC has won 212 of the 292 seats in the West Bengal assembly elections.
Voting was held in eight phases in March and April in the state. BJP has become a big opposition party by winning 77 seats.
Banerjee has won the party for the second consecutive time in the state assembly by a two-thirds majority.
Governor Dhankhar tweeted on Sunday, "Hon'ble Chief Minister will meet me at Raj Bhavan tomorrow at 7 pm."
