Maharashtra: Anil Deshmukh resigns soon after HC directs CBI probe into 100 crore recovery case

Anil Deshmukh has submitted his resignation as the Maharashtra Home Minister in the MVA govt.
Deshmukh has submitted his resignation letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray and his resignation has been accepted.
NCP leader and minister Nawab Malik termed the allegations against Deshmukh as baseless, saying that he himself has resigned.
On Monday, the Bombay High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry on the petition of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh.
The court had said that he could not depend on the police investigation. The CBI has been asked to submit a report in the next 15 days.
