Telangana Youth Congress stages protest, demands unemployment allowance, TRS chief including many arrested

  • Telangana Youth Congress has staged a protest at the state Assembly on Monday.
  • They have been demanding the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government to allocate an unemployment allowance.
  • During the protest, several Youth Congress leaders including Telangana Youth Congress chief K Shiva Sena Reddy were allegedly arrested.

  • The protesting groups pressed their 12-point demand charter, which included the implementation of the Bhagat Singh Urban Employment Guarantee Act, which is meant to ensure 200 workdays for all employable people at minimum wage rates.
