Labour Rights Activist Nodeep Kaur's bail petition matter postponed to Feb 26

  • Labour rights activist Nodeep Kaur, who was arrested by the Haryana Police from the Singhu border, had filed a bail petition in which she stated that she was beaten up in the police station.
  • Though the hearing of her bail petition was held today, but the Punjab and Haryana High Court posted this matter for February 26.
  • Nodeep had also claimed that she was charged as an accused in a false FIR lodged under various sections, that included IPC Section 307.
  • Letting you know, the 23-year-old activist was arrested for demanding money from the company in Sonipat by allegedly gheraoing an industrial unit.
  • Kaur hails from Punjab’s Muktsar district and is currently lodged in Haryana's Karnal jail.
