Gujarat Municipal Election: BJP ahead in 106 seats, Congress in 26, counting underway

The counting for the 576 seats across six municipal corporations of Gujarat is going on since morning.
In early leads, the BJP has made big gains as the party is ahead in 106 seats and the Congress in 26 seats so far.
As per the initial trends, BJP is leading in Jamjodhpur, Thaltej, Vastrapur, Asarwa, Saijpur, Nava Vadaj & Navrangpura wards.
The Congress is leading in Dariapur & Chandkheda wards and AIMIM is leading in Behrampura.
Letting you know, in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the votes are being counted for 192 seats across 48 wards, in Surat MC, votes are being counted for 120 seats across 30 wards, and many more.
