Puducherry: Congress fails floor test, loses power, V. Naraynasamy resigns, later blames BJP
The ongoing political explosion in Puducherry reached its last stage today and the Congress govt fell after failing the floor test.
CM V. Narayanasamy presented a vote of confidence in the House, but he failed the floor test due to a lack of necessary data.
Narayanasamy has accused former Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi and BJP of toppling the govt. He said that the party MLAs have been bought based on money.
He added, "We formed a government with DMK and Independent MLAs, won many elections, this shows that people's trust is built on us."
Letting you know, there are 33 members in the Puducherry Assembly. After the resignation of several MLAs, this number was reduced to 24, but Congress could not prove a majority.
