Why did RJD make a Bhumihar Rajya Sabha candidate?

The RJD announced the names of two candidates for the Rajya Sabha and Amarendra Dhari Singh's name surprised the party workers.
RJD's politics of the last 3 decades was based on the opposition of the upper caste but the attitude of the party towards Bhumihars was not good.
Tejashwi Yadav said, "We will go together, we will grow together, we will build a new Bihar together, we have to build a new Bihar by rising above caste and religion."
A lot has changed in the RJD after the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the party has started paying attention to the upper castes.
RJD has included Bihar unit president Jagdanand Singh Rajput, Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha Brahmin and now Amarendhari as Bhumihar.
