Urmila Matondkar quits Cong, barely 6 months after signing up; cites lack of leadership, in-fighting

After a high-profile entry in the Lok Sabha elections, Urmila Matondkar has called it quits from the Congress. With this, the party's already-receding fortunes in Maharashtra have got another jolt.
The 44-year-old actress, who had made her debut from the North Mumbai constituency on a Congress ticket, had taken on BJP veteran Gopal Shetty.
According to Times Now, the 'Rangeela' star has said that she is disilluisoned with the way the Congress has performed.
The actress had joined the party in March this year.
